How long will my dog's grooming take?
This depends on the individual animal, when we meet your dog, we can discuss any relevant issues, as each dog is different.
Your dog's coat condition, age, style required, temperament and breed are all relevant factors. Our main priority, is the welfare of your pet whilst in our care and to make it a relaxing and enjoyable experience for them.

When does my puppy need to start getting groomed?
whether your puppy needs trimming or not, we recommend that puppies start attending a grooming salon as soon as they have finished their vaccinations. Puppies who attend salons early, accept grooming as routine much easier than those puppies who have reached 6mths plus, meaning less stress on your dog.
When your puppy is still young, he accepts the sounds, smells and handling as part of normal routine of life, and as grooming will be part of your dogs life for many years, it is imperative that he becomes happy and relaxed about it.
On the first few occasions, puppies are left undisturbed to explore and observe the salon surroundings (we do not charge for this). This may take 10 minutes or a few visits before your dog is relaxed enough to start the handling and grooming procedures (and we do this at your dogs pace, not ours.We will not start grooming until your dog is deemed ready).
Can you use a shampoo supplied by my Vet?
Yes, depending on the shampoo in question. Some Veterinary prescribed shampoos, require the dog to dry naturally (without the aid of hairdryers, we cannot use these types of shampoo, as we need to bath and FULLY dry your dog to be able to clip him. However we do carry our own natural and organic based shampoos, which we highly recommend for pets with problem skin/itching/redness etc, which can be used in conjunction with a hairdryer.
I think my dog has fleas?
Dogs that have fleas, will be washed with a suitable flea shampoo, that will kill the fleas on the dog. We will also give you advice, so that you may prevent future infestations. However, please let us know prior to arriving with your dog.
Do I have to make an appointment to have my dogs nails cut?
Yes, as we have to have time between trimming other dogs to cut his nails. However, most nail appointments can be arranged for the day you call.
Can I stay with my pet?
This is not usually a good idea, to get the full co-operation of your dog, we need his undivided attention whilst working on him with sharp equipment. In special cases, we can arrange an appointment with you present.
Do you groom sedated dogs?
We do not accept sedated dogs.
Dogs that require sedation, require special care and are better off being groomed under veterinary supervision.
How much will it cost?
Charges vary dependent on the breed of dog and the condition of his coat.
When you call for an appointment, we can give you a basic price, which is based on dogs that conform to the following: Breed standard Size/Coat, Groomed regularly, Kept groomed between trims and Co-operative
Additional Charges may apply for: Matted Coats and/or aggressive behaviour, Non-standard breed size and/or coat, Trimming beyond breed standard, Non co-operative behaviour, Overweight/Oversized,

How much will it cost?
Does my dog go in a cage/crate?
We do not crate or cage dogs. Dogs are situated in a comfortable area in the salon where they are included in the ambience of the room; although they cannot physically interact with each other they can see each other and this settles them for the short while they are with us
Do you charge a 'no show' fee?
As we lose our income when you do not show up, wasting an appointment slot, we charge the cost of the full groom for no shows. This money must be paid before another appointment is made.
